Acas publishes new workplace investigations guide

Acas has published new guidance outlining the essential decisions and actions that employers must make when deciding to conduct an investigation. The guidance provides important information for anyone who has been appointed to conduct disciplinary or grievance investigations.

Deciding whether or not to conduct an investigation into alleged misconduct is the first step of a disciplinary process which could ultimately result in a dismissal so employers, employees and their legal representatives should use the guide to gain an understanding of how and why investigations should be conducted.
